Beauty Favourites of 2011

Hello,


So since 2011 is coming to an end it is time to choose the products that I have loved the most this year.


Eyeshadow

• NYX eyeshadow trio in Aloha/Mink Brown/Deep Bronze: It has a wonderful pigmentation, a great texture and plus they are everyday colors.

• Kiko eyetech look in 04: Its gorgeous to use all over the lid or in the crease in a day when you really don't have time.

Eyeliner

• MUFE aqua liner in 5L: Gorgeous olive color with enhances my eye color (brown) and it also stays on forever.

• Kiko automatic precision eyeliner and Khôl in 712: it is really creamy so it smudges easily which is kind of the main purpose of this product

• Bobbi Brown long-wear gel eyeliner in Black ink: Precise, lasts all day and simply beautiful

Mascara

• Benefit Bag Gal: Leaves a natural yet lengthened and volumized look, the only down side is that it lacks of curling action. 

• L'oreal cil architect 4D: I love this mascara, I have done a review on it, if you want to see it click here.

Cheeks

• Mac mineralize blush in Warm soul: It is a shimmery rosy pink that gives a gorgeous flush.

• Mac blush in Well dressed: the pink that makes your cheeks look alive when it seems that you come from another planet where the sun doesn't come up and you look as white as paper, it is semi-matte, It doesn't look like much in the pan, but once its on its beautiful.

• Benefit Posietint: It stays all day as it is a liquid blush (a stain). It also makes you look naturally flushed and I personally love it because it is matte. I use this every day no joke i seriously love this stuff. You can also use it on your lips

Face

Since I don't use foundation i am going to talk about concealers only.

• Benefit Boing concealer in shade 2: This cream concealer covers everything and it leaves a flawless appearance to your skin. The down side is that the color selection is really poor,as there are only 3 shades.

• Kiko natural concealer in 01: Even thought the color doesn't perfectly match me (again they also have a very poor color selection) I really like it, as it has a great great coverage and a nice texture.

Lips

• Mac sheen supreme lipstick in behave yourself: I personally like this kind of mac lipsticks better than normal ones as some finishes can dry your lips. This color (actually the only one I own) is a light blue-toned pink with some shimmer, it is a bit sheer but really pretty.

• Benefit lipgloss in Life on the A list: This opaque peachy gloss is gorgeous for a simple everyday lip, I love its texture, its pigmentation and I ADORE its smell, an apricoty (does this word even exist LOL) scent.

Perfume

• Acqua di gioa: a fresh, sweet scent that I love for winter and fall. It young, with some floral undertones and plus the commercial is really really cool.

• CH l'eau: a floral, also sweet smell but with kind of a twist. I love, love, love this for summer and spring. This scent just makes me happy :).

Happy holidays everyone. Yes, I havent been posting for a while, just because my life has been a big mess with school, but now in christmas break I have more time to post.

Review: Catrice eye shadow base

Hey there,


Its been long-time no see, well today I'm doing a review on Catrice's eye shadow base (as you've may of seen in the title).

For those of you who don't know Catrice is a German brand (Essence's sister), low-cost but with a lovely quality.


It is about 4€ and it brings 2.1 ml of product. It is shimmery, and I personally think it is an improved version of UDPP.

Reason why I think its better:

• It has colour to it, which conceals your eyelids and makes veining disappear
• It works better, creasing disappears and your eyeshadow lasts more
• It has a way better colour pay-off.

Do I recommend this?: Yes

Would I buy it again?: Definetly

Haul

Hello,

So November 1st there is no school in Spain (ooh Spain don't I love you) so i went shopping, I bought some pieces of clothing, (and maybe JUST maybe I do a haul on that), but for now I'm going to show you what I got.

Let's get on with this

From korres I got an eye cream (the day one with avocado), I really like it and its really moisturizing, and they also gave me three samples of the oil-free skin care line.

From the drugstore I got 4 nail polishes called (from left to right) From dusk till dawn, London's weather forecast, Sir, yes, Sir! and Jumpin' Jade. The three first are from Catrice and the fourth from Sally Hansen, my personal fav is the Sally hansen one, you'll be seeing it in NOTD.

I also bought two things from Benefit which I had been dying to try those things are Posietint and Dandelion

While I was walking around I saw this store called Parfois so I actually ended up buying a watch, It has a gorgeous detailing and the strap is green which in my opinion makes it much more original.

And last, but definetly not least I bought a new case for my BB, one of my friends had it  but she bought it in summer so when I saw this I went like ooooh, and I bought it.

Definetly read: The Maze Runner

Hello,

So since everyone was raving about The maze runner by James Dashner, I decided to get a sample, and guess what.....I feel in love with it.

I read this book in three days, and I seriously think its the best book ever. I like the way the author makes you get ''addicted'' to the book. I must say I am Starting the Scorch trials (the secod book of the trilogy) and I'm kinda ''scared'' that James Dashner can keep up the intrigue, but don't worry there WILL be another post about it.

The story is about this boy called Thomas, he arrives to this place (he doesn't know where he is), with only one memory, his name.

He and other boys have to figure out of the maze, but their lifes are in danger because out in the maze there are this monsters called Grievers that kill you if you dont take a medicine in time, but the Gladers live in the Glade (ya get tha name?) but at night the walls close and if you're out in the maze the grievers will kill you.

I love this book, I SERIOUSLY recommended

Definetly read: First Love

Hello,

Today I will be talking to you about a book I read for school called First Love by Ivan Turgueniev. When I looked at the back of the book it said ''Turqueniev describes human passion like no other'' I was kinda not really convinced, since my last book fail, the scorch trials (its really not interesting) but I became really into this book when I first started reading it. Its kinda short, the version I read is 126 pages, which is not much when a book is so addicting.

Summary: It all starts in a party when the main character (Vladimir) has to tell the story of his first love. Two weeks later he hands in a book were he  tells his story.

Vladimir at the time is 16 and he goes to spend the summer to his country-side house, there he meets Princess Zenaida Alexandrovna, whom he madly falls in love with. There are 4 other man with her, which are also in love with her.

Personal opinion: I'm truly devating on whether I love this book or I hate it, Its so amazing all the way but the ending is really sad (I cried and its the first time ever I've cried with a book) and I got mad with the ending, but it describes human passion so well its lilke your Vladimir  and its like you could capture  the essence and the beauty of the words and send them to your heart.

Hello,

I will be sharing today with you my faves, for the beauty part they are:

• Mac blush in Well dressed: It's absolutley gorgeous, it's gives you a nice colour and it also doesn't have a bunch of shimmer, which makes this blush PERFECT.
•  L'oreal lash architect 4D: My Review of it
• Garnier BB cream: I also have a review on it
• UD Perversion eye liner: I love this because it stays on my tighline like nobody's business.
• MUFE eyeliner in 5L: As I have brown ayes and this is an olive dark-green color  looks amazing in my eyes along the top and lower lash-line.
• Rimmel Stay Glossy lipgloss in 160 stay my rose: Even thought it seems a different color in the photo its a beautiful rosey color, this makes my lips really mousturized and shiny with a really good color pay-off.
• H&M Body Lotion: It's from the hello kitty collection and its in the scent sweet berries, it's very moisturizing and I LOVE :) the scent

For the personal part:

• Tv show: Downton abbey is so catchy and I just wish each season would be more than 8 episodes long.
• Actor: Damian Mcginty, I first saw him on the glee project this summer (I'm also a big fan of glee) and I fell in ''love'' with him, he has a great voice and he's also REALLY REALLY REALLY HANDSOME, (and its worth repeating)
• Song: I have been loving Speak now album by Taylor Swift, I love every song in that CD. I have also been loving the Glee version of turning tables, don't misunderestand me I love Adele but I prefer Gwyneth Paltrow's voice in this song.
• Object: I've had Two my Ipad, and my cupcake blankie from Primark its soo warm
• Food/drink: I've been drinking quite a lot the herbal infusion (the one with apple and cinnamon) from hornimans.

Review: Garnier BB cream

Hi,

 We are here today to talk about the Garnier bb cream, the first bb cream released in Europe, (I mean you can go to ebay and buy a asian bb cream but its not the same). I've read/seen reviews of this product but I must say most weren't positive.


First of all, my skin is:

• REALLY OILY (In three hours you could fry chips with the oils of my nose)
• Without acne
• With occasional pimples
• Some blackheads in my nose
• With no scaring (well i have one on my nose but just that)

This bb cream promises a lot of things, but I'm not gonna tell what this doesn't do but what it does. 


I get a bit shiny if I dont use a setting powder.


It also has a really light coverage, it does have some, it has a bit less than a tinted moisturizer. This also hasn't made me breakout.
Also If you are planing on using this as a tinted moisturizer don't because I feel that if I dont use a moisturizer my skin feels a bit flaky and I would recommend using sunblock under it as it only has SPF 15.


A down side to this product is that there is only 2 shades and mine is the medium one and im not that dark at all.

I found that the best method to apply this is with a stippling brush because it leaves a flawless skin effect.


Conclusion: I really like this and I would definitely buy it again.

BTW: My color is the second one, the medium one.

Review: L'oreal lash architect 4d mascara.

Hello, 

Today I'm reviewing the new lash architect mascara by L'oreal.

First of all it claims it will:

• Volumize
• Lengthen
• Curl
• Texturize (What does this means??)

It has a kinda fancy packaging 

It has a fibre brush, its fibers are twisted around, and the brush is not too thin and not too thick.

The formula is more in the wet side, but I would say its drier than Maybelline Great Lash. But should be careful on many coats you apply because in the end you can get little clumps.

O and I have to say that if you hve really sensible eyes (Like my mom has, and gave me this after this mascara made her eyes itch) this can maybe produce itching.

It does do everything that is promised except texturizing which I dont know what it means LoL. 

In conclusion, I really like this mascara, and yes I would buy it again.

The polish I wore today is by Essence. It's a lovely deep rose gold, but it's also a silver gunmetal if  the light changes. To me it's fall in a bottle.

LOTW (lip of the week)

Heeey guys :) 


So for my first entry I decided to do a lip of the week.


I've been wearing this the whole week, and i lovee it. It is a nude combo so its really natural and you could use it everyday.


The formula is: MAC Hue lipstick + Too Faced Glamour gloss in the color pillow talk.


PS: Pillow Talk lipgloss tingles and plums the lips.
